New Look

I have been remodelling with my BF Darcy. We starting painting about two weeks ago. I have paneling and I have been scared to touch it. Well the fear is over and I'm so happy! I painted the walls Cinnamon Apple and trimmed it in Sparkling Cider.
Accenting in cast iron and black. We pulled up carpet (should of done this years ago), polished them and someday will finish them, but for now they look great to me :) Oh I also picked up NEW Furniture - couch and matching loveseat! WOOHOO!!! I still have to find fabric for the curtains . . . actually Mickey and friends are growing on me lol. I plan on making my own design on the curtains.

Fall Felted Bag Exchange is OVER!

How was your experience in the exchange? I had a great time getting to know my pal, I sent emails, comments on blogs, and a great package to her. I'm looking forward to continuing my new online friendship with Katie. I have NOT received any package from my person. She contacted me once on 8-26 and nothing since. Very disappointment but not discouraged because I have been in other swaps and sometimes this happens (first time for me).

Did you just love the bag you received? I never received my bag or anything. Very disappointed but enjoying getting to know my pal :)

Favorite Costume?

What was your favorite Halloween costume ever - for you? I would have to say the year I dressed up as "money" yes money, my mom made me a clear rain coat and then taped change on it and I was "money". I think it had something to do with my name . . . Pennie LOL.
Why did you enjoy it so much? Because my mother made it for me :) Do you still dress up now? nope, now I have 4 children to dress. Chat a bit about your traditions for dressing up on All Hallow's Eve! We start out carving pumpkins about a week before halloween - lots of pictures here, then on Halloween we dress all up, take lots more pictures then we head out to our friends for special treats and then walk the neighborhood until we can't carry our bags! Sometimes we dump and continue on but most of the time the kids are happy with what they have and are happy to leave the rest for others. Happy Halloween Everyone!

Which Purse to Use??

How often do you change the purse or bag you're carrying? Do you change based on seasons? Outfits? Something else? What's your favorite bag in the world (and it doesn't have to be a knit/felted one!)?

Humm, I would have to say I change purses as I make them. My favorite bag would have to be the ones I MAKE! I love felted bags, it shows off my crafty personality.

CAUTION: yArN pOrN

I have been so good, I haven't purchased that much yarn since the first of the year. I bought some Noro when I went to Midwest Stitches and I think that is all I have bought! WOOHOO for me. I have a ton of yarn and I need to use it up.

So this is my "stash" of yarn. May not seem to much to you but to me its a mini store. I also have 2 rubber made containers full of yarn.

OTN: another purse . . . . I did finish my Fall Felted Bag Exchange Purse and am now about ready to felt it and let it dry then send off on Monday to my Fall Felted Bag Spoilee! I sure hope she likes it. I will post a picture of my FFBE purse once its complete, actually I will have two purses to post, I finally finished my i-cord handle for my fall purse.

Colors of Autumn

The colors of fall tend to be oranges, yellows, crimsons, and other 'leafy' colors - what is your favorite "Color of Autumn" and where do you see it?

I love all the colors of fall, I'm in Midwest and I enjoy taking rides through the country and taking pictures of all the beautiful colors. I don't think I have a favorite color of autumn because all the colors compliment each other and without one what would the others have in common.
