Where am I?

I have been so busy that I haven't had time to do much of anything. The new adjustment is alittle more trying then I thought. Its working but its weighing me down. I have taken a few days off of work to regroup and then today I'm sick. I have a fever, chills and a bad cough. My whole body aches.

Good news on the Union front, we are actually going to bargain this week! I know its been forever but its here. I'm hoping it all goes good. I think this new company is good to go.

I have been organizing my craft room again, I know again. It looks good, maybe I will take a picture and show all of you. I haven't been knitting, I did get 24 skeins of yarn yesterday to dye. NO, I didn't break my Use from your Stash, I'm not going to use this yarn I'm just going to post it to my store. I'm hoping that I feel better and can dye some yarn later today and do some posting tomorrow. Till later :) Knit on . . . Craft often . . . is there anything else?

Hi all, sorry it has been forever since my last post. It has been super busy here with the new editions. Things are going good. This past 4 days have been trying, off school for holiday and then a snow day! Oh, they all need to be in school.

DH is awesome, he ran to walmart the other night to get a new garbage can and when he came home he got a hugh $50 garbage can . . . I'm like what the ==== do we need a $50 garbage can for, his remark was its "big" just look inside it. So I took a peck inside the garbage can to see a CRICUT! www.cricut.com I have been wanting and waiting to purchase one of these for all my scrapbooking needs! All things I can do with one of these. Its a small computer that is a cutting machine. You type the word or phrase you want, select the size of the phrase and hit cut and in a matter of seconds it cuts out the letters. Its AWESOME. You can purchase different fonts and each font has its own keyboard of to lay on the computer. Its cool. I love it.

Knitting . . . I haven't been knitting, I have been to busy taking care of children and just finding time to unwind and relax. I barely have time to do that. DFD needs to be feed every 3 hours and yes even in the middle of the night, I'm used to my children waking me up when they were hungry throughout the night. This is a little different but the smiles, giggles and hugs are all worth it.

I'm taking my CADC in about 3 weeks, I'm nervous about this test. But I'm going to do my best and hope for the best. I will continue to study and read over all my laws and information. So everyone out there, say a "prayer" for me the first week of March.

1. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? What fibers do you absolutely *not* like? I love working with wool. I really enjoy felting. I also like "soft" yarn :) I really don't like arcylic yarn and I'm not to hot on eyelash yarn. Please no homespun . . . I have a ton of it.

2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in? I have a great bag and needle case. I really like cute bags to carry my project"s" in . . . Yes I always have more then one going at a time :)

3. How long have you been knitting & how did you learn? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced? I have been knitting for about 2 years now and I would have to say I'm an intermediate . . . still scared to attempt new things but I'm always trying.

4. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list? I have never really made a wish list . . . maybe I will once this round starts.

5. What's your favorite scent? lily of the valley, lilac, rose, NO Vanilla please

6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy? I love chocolate anytype of chocolate candy is great.

7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Do you spin? I love to scrapbook . . . I have a ton of it; jewerly making is one of my newest hobbies; no I don't spin and I have no desire to even attempt.

8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD) I listen to almost anything . . . I can play MP3's. I have a pockdish and I have access to a ton of music so I would say pass on the music concept.

9. What's your favorite color(s)? Any colors you just can't stand? I love jewel colors, browns are a must in any collection and lets not forget RED. I also like shades of blues and greens. I will pass on oranges, pinks and mint or lime colors.

10. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets? Family situation, I have 2 children and 2 relative foster children. I have been married for 13 years and I have one dog :)

11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos? Yes Yes Yes and YES :)

12. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit? felted purses, scarves, shawls, and ponchos

13. What are you knitting right now? humm, 2 scarves, purse, and backpack

14. Do you like to receive handmade gifts? oh yes . . . love things already complete :))

15. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? Bamboo, aluminum, plastic? I prefer circular - less stress on the wrists, anything but plastic - yarn sticks to much on these

16. Do you own a yarn winder and/or swift? YES, best investment yet.

17. How old is your oldest UFO? my backpack there are about 500+ stitches on a size 10 circular . . . it will be felted when done, I work an hour here and an hour there. Its red, white and blue and someday I will have it done to post.

19. Is there anything that you collect? besides yarn, scrapbook material and jewerly pieces . . . ummm no. Maybe someday I will.

20. Any books, yarns, needles or patterns out there you are dying to get your hands on? What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have? I would love some books on scarves, shawls, bags/purses. I haven't bought anybooks, I look for patters online or look at the library. I do subscribe to Creative Knitting and I LOVE IT.

21. Are there any new techniques you'd like to learn? someday I will finish my sock I started. Someday. I would also like to attempt a sweater but for some reason it scares me :) ??

22. Are you a sock knitter? What are your foot measurements? nope, I think its the small needles that scare me off, I will someday thou . . . I'm a 10.

23. When is your birthday? April 28 . . . yes I'm a tauras and YES you can hear me ROAH!

Bears Lost . . . Grossman was back this game

I have come to the conclusion that the last game the Bears played Grossman was playing a Mission Impossible version and was actually replaced by a REAL quarterback. Then this game ... the SUPERBOWL ... Grossman must not have had enough money to pay for M:I XLI Version player and Grossman was back and SUCKED as usual.

Its been very busy here. Last Monday we received DFD (da foster daughter) and then Friday night we received the other DFD from the hospital. All is going great. We purchased a set of bunkbeds and now the girls have more room. Everyone seems happy :)

DFD baby is doing great. She requires feeding every 3 hours no matter what. But she is sleeping all night and we just feed her and put her back down. She is a talker, smiler and loves to giggle.

We are so HAPPY and everyone seems to be adjusting well. NO KNITTING as of all the things going on.
