Yarn Shopping Day

I went yarn shopping with my friend Julie . . . we hit 2 yarn stores and Joann's. I picked up some stuff for my SP, 2 skeins of Patons yarn, a sheep and the Stitch an Bitch 2007 calendar, which I want! I will be sending off this package in the next week or so.

I picked up some Patons yarn for me too. PLUS some 100% baby alpaca! OMG it is soooo soft, I'm going to make a basketweave scarf with the black alpaca yarn. I have been on a scarf kick. I'm working on a 400+ CO scarf called the Skinny Scarf with some pretty autumn colors. I hope to have done by Sunday so I can post a picture.

I'm also going to skein up some of my hand dyed yarn cause I'm going to be featured on the SP9 site. I have about 6-8 skeins ready to post. I want to get my create of yarn sold before x-mas so I will be offering some additional sales. . . . . . . here is my picture of goodies I bought today :) Happy Knitting

Off to Alaska . . .

I finished my scarf and its on its way to its new home in Alaska. I used 100% wool, handdyed yarn. I like the pattern I used, it was a "Rainy Day Wavy Scarf" pattern. I also sent along a box of truffle brownie mix and another skein of handdyed lace yarn. The picture below shows all . . . even the "white envelope" that had the card in it (lol). I sure hope Kristin likes the scarf and yarn :)

Project Runway DISAPPOINTMENT

OK I'm pissed . . . Jeffrey won . . . he over spent . . . disqualified shorts . . . and still won???

I liked Uli's collection. I thought it was the wearable. As for Michael, what happened, Safari or Street wear? Safari Street wear, hummm, street girls in the safari all dressed up? Then there was Laura, can you say 1950's?? uptight bitch with way to much time on her hands . . . but has 2000+ children must have a NANNY to get all that detail done :)

So, I will be producing my own "knitting" line on the Project Runway #4 next season. See blog for details, because if Jeffrey can win with trailer trash outfits, I can win with arcylic yarn :)

Secret Pal Contact

YAH! My pal has made contact with me :) She sent me a cute Hallmark card :)) I have made contact with my new pal and am sending off a snail card today. I'm soooo looking forward to this round of Secret Pal 9. I already am thinking of ideas for my new pal.

I'm hoping to get the LYS by the end of this month . . . my good yarn store is like 60+ miles away, oh I'm sorry that would also be the closest. But its so worth the drive. Chocolate Swap

YES, a full box of chocolate and goodies from Brooke my COCOA swapper. I actually have eaten a few chocolates and a package of hot cocoa for 2 - not pictured here. Ooops couldn't wait. This was a fun exchange to buy for another all the chocolate goodies and some yarn. Brooke sent me some chocolate colored sock yarn and a pattern . . . yes maybe I will get the sock thing down pat soon. Thanks again Brooke and I look forward to continuing our blog reading friendship. Happy Knitting

ISE 3

I have been working on my scarf for my secret pal. I have started over from the one I previously started. This one is a Wavy pattern and I'm liking it alot. I'm using 100% hand dyed wool, which the colors are great. I'm really digging the pattern effect. I have been off since Wednesday, I don't know what I have but my head has not stopped hurting, doctor may get a call tomorrow. I'm going to take another day just in case, my whole body is ache'n . . . weird. But I have been knitting and I'm getting somewhere with this scarf. What do you think?

After this scarf exchange I plan on knitting 3-4 more scarves for gifts for the season. Lit Cyrano is almost done with one and I want everyone I know to get a scarf this year. I have tons of Homespun yarn that I'm going to whip up scarves. Some may be more complex then others. Happy knitting to all the knitters :)

First Band Concert

Cyrano had his first band concert last night, it was fun. He did really well. I think all my picture taking started to make him embarassed. But it was great!

Papa, Aunt Onetha, Ayana, Dad and I attended. Papa was wheeled in by wheel chair due to his leg that is broke. We were all glad he got to go.

GREAT JOB CYRANO!
